Be part of the Million Strong Campaign!

Staff and volunteers of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana are working with our colleagues across the country and at the national Planned Parenthood Action Fund to organize the One Million Strong Campaign and empower a pro-choice movement through the November 2008 elections and beyond!

The One Million Strong Campaign goals are to:

• Bring one million pro-choice voters to the polls.
• Elect a pro-choice president and pro-choice governor.
• Win key legislative seats.
• Enhance our lobbying efforts for Prevention First at both the national and state levels with one million new activists.

Sure, one million is a large number, but we think big because no one ever taught us differently—we want thousands of Hoosiers to help make up that million. We’ll need your help! Here’s what you can do:

• Sign the Million Strong petition and receive updates from Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana and the national Action Fund.
• Become a member of Planned Parenthood Advocates today. Your membership donation will help us elect pro-choice politicians and pass pro-prevention legislation in Indiana and at the national level.
• Volunteer. We need help reaching out to new supporters, registering voters, organizing events, and working for pro-choice, pro-prevention candidates.

Join now! In the spring, the campaign will roll out the agenda for women’s health for the next U.S. President, the next Indiana governor, and of course, our legislators as well. All summer long we’ll be working to bring voters together with the right candidates. And come November, we all march to our local polling places to vote for pro-prevention political change!
